Vodafone inks European deal with YouTube

Vodafone Group announced its third significant content partnership in as many days, adding user-generated video service YouTube to a deck that now includes MySpace and eBay as well. Details of the deal are scarce, although Vodafone confirms YouTube will debut on its UK mobile platform before expanding into other European markets later this year. Like the AT&T/Cingular YouTube offering launched in late 2006, Vodafone will offer subscribers a daily selection of handpicked videos; customers may also forward links of their favorite clips and upload their own content from their handsets.
